Assign Labels

Labels are assigned to SIMs in a single account. However, the label is not unique to that account and the same label can be applied to SIMs in a different account.

Purpose of Labels

SIM Labelling allows an operator to tag SIMs with labels for these purposes:

  • Grouping SIMs with common parameters
  • Filtering SIMs
  • Actions or bulk operations on SIMs with common label

Label Actions

The Labels action is available for:

  • Single SIMs from the SIMs table
  • Multiple SIMs from the SIMs table
  • SIMs on the SIM Info page

Label Format

The SIM label format must adhere to these guidelines

  • Label is case-sensitive.
  • A single word (no spaces allowed)
  • Alphanumeric characters only (a, b, c, 0, 1, 2, etc.)
  • Special characters are not allowed
  • Underlines between characters are not allowed

TIP: You can also create Labels using Settings > Labels. Make sure you return to the SIMs module to assign them to SIMs.

How to Label a SIM

To label a SIM from the Action menu. do these steps:

  1. Select a SIM and click Manage Labels. The SIM Label dialog box is displayed.
  2. |Checl one or more labels in the Select Labels list.
  3. Click Submit to assign the selected lables.

Note: When you open the SIMs Label dialog, notice that some labels may already be assigned tothe existing SIM.
