SIM
Why does my device show my SIM number with the letter F added at the end?

SIM numbers (ICCID) can vary in length; some devices may append an extra digit to the end of the ICCID.

Why does the IMEI number displayed in the portal have one less digit than the device IMEI?

Some devices add an IMEI check-sum digit to the IMEI number. The portal does not display the check-sum digit.

What should I check if my device is not able to browse the internet?
  1. , locate your device SIM card and check the following:

  • the Status column and check if the SIM is Active

  • the Buy/Sell Plan column and check if the SIM is attached to a valid Billing Plan

  • Check that your SIM has enough quota balance

  1. Check that your device is properly configured:

  • Successfully registered to the mobile network

  • Device is set to Roaming Allowed

  • Device APN settings are correct, for example that the APN is set to flolive.net; note that some customers may configure a different private APN

What is the difference between an ICCID, IMSI, IMEI and MSISDN?

The ICCID is a 19- to 20-digit number printed on the plastic SIM card.

The International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) number uniquely identifies every user of a cellular network. It is usually stored within a SIM card as a 64-bit field and is sent by the mobile device to the network. The IMSI is used internally within mobile phone systems to identify a phone.

The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) is a unique number for identifying a device on a mobile network.

The MSISDN is the mobile phone number (including international country code). floLIVE may use an internal MSISDN number that is not routable via a public network. If you need a routable MSISDN, contact your sales representative.

The Mobile Station International Subscriber Directory Number (MSISDN) is a unique number that identifies each mobile subscriber. The MSISDN is more commonly recognized as the mobile subscriber's telephone number, including the international country code. The maximum length of an MSISDN is 15 digits.

Note: floLIVE may use an internal MSISDN that is not routable via a public network. If you need a routable MSISDN, contact your sales representative.

How accurate is the SIM Location (map view)?

The SIM location is determined by the location information of the cell tower that the SIM was last connected to. This location information contains the MCC/MNC/LAC/Cell ID of the cell tower that the device used in its last session.

The accuracy depends on that of the cell-tower location-information accuracy published by T-Mobile to the GSMA.

How often is the connectivity information updated?

Connectivity information is updated at every time a newly registered location triggers an update-location event. The Connectivity information update may take few seconds to be updated in the SIM view.
